Now, a single license gives your entire campus full access to the whole Science Source image and video collection for unlimited educational use. That covers every student and instructor, every course, every LMS page. There are no per-image invoices, no rights clearance, and no waiting on approval.
What it is
Science Source has spent decades building a library of scientific and medical imagery. The collection spans anatomy and physiology, environmental science, cell and molecular biology, microscopy, natural history, and the history of science. Your students and faculty have almost certainly encountered our images already, in major textbooks and their digital counterparts.
Students and instructors already come to us directly to license imagery for lectures, slides, and course packets. The Education license moves that access onto edu.sciencesource.com: a separate platform built specifically for higher education, not a login-gated version of our commercial site. It frees your university community from worrying about one-off licensing and rights clearance.
What makes edu.sciencesource.com different?
Images and video download in full quality: High Res video files and Medium Res (1080p) image files. Nothing is sized down to a web thumbnail.
The site recognizes your campus IP range automatically. Students and faculty get in on campus internet or VPN, with no individual accounts to create or manage.
Every image and video page includes a ready-made citation. Students can credit their source correctly without leaving the page.

Total FTE enrollment multiplied by the per-student rate, billed annually. There's no separate charge per image, per download, or per course.
That's not required. Once the license is active, faculty and students can use any image or video clip in the collection without submitting individual rights requests. Science Source will keep track of which images are downloaded to calculate photographer royalties.
